I've often found in my social groups aka going out with a few friends or work parties I tend to have alot of the group around me and they're all bouncing off me.
I get this I find through building social proof, just have a smile on your face is a good start, other things I've found that's helped are random facts and little games. Sometimes i'm out i'll go to my friends 'see those two over there, what do you think their jobs are, backgrounds etc... make a story on two random people, get a debate going and that also helps you create a bridge to speaking to the people you're talking about so you can find out the right answer to settle the debate.
If you go into a club with friends or your making a load of friends in the club or where ever you are just be positive and have a nice vibe, you'll feel people will want to bounce off you.
