Post subject:  Barista Gaming
Alright so I'm about to get a job as a barista at a coffee shop inside a gas station near my house.

I feel like there has to be such a high volume of customers that I will see at least 10 8-10s throughout the day. Plus it's a natural interaction and she'll be approaching me, and I'll be repeating the same interaction all day so I'll get good practice. From what I can tell, there is usually only one employee working at a time, so that helps too.

Of course I could also get stuck with the morning shift and probably not get a chance to socialize at all. But it's such a good chance to catch women off guard, not to mention barista is probably the sexiest job title in the minimum wage bracket :P

Any thoughts on this? Any ideas for how I could game as I serve the ladies their cappuccinos?

Eh this is why I hate "service" jobs (and trust me, I worked em all!)

You're in a vulnerable position where you're "servicing" your customers which kind of puts you in a DLV situation. You can't be demonstrating a higher value to your target when you're pouring her coffee. Of course, that's not to say it isn't possible. Your best bet is to just be naturally charming and funny. I doubt you'll get a number close, but you might get a frequent customer who eventually becomes a number close. I spent a little time working at a coffee shop and I had a few girls who would eventually like to come chat with me but you're in the situation where you don't pick your target, a girl picks you as her target.

Also, it's a little risky because if you try hitting on girls while you're working, you can get fired. Especially if the girl isn't feeling your game and rats on you for trying to pick her up. Now, if you get a job as a bartender, your chances of getting numbers increase by 1000%. For some reason a bar tender becomes on an elevated social level at his place of work and socializing with customers on a more personal level is actually somewhat encouraged.

Agree on this. She will think of you as a escape from her boredom. Do not think to get a serious relantionship though.

Hahaha love the answers. Yeah, minimum wage job isn't that sexy, even with a hunky spanish sounding title I guess. But yeah it would be doubly worse if you weren't on your game compared to normal lol.

Yeah but those waiters at country clubs are so damn stolid. My grandpa belongs to one and our whole family goes, and some of my cousins got blessed with some damn nice genes and I've never seen any service guys even look at them dirtily haha. But I guess that's why the PUA is the exception to the rule...slip a note onto her appetizer plate or onto her lap as you refill her water glass for the 9th time.
