Post subject:  The Game to become a victim of its own success?

A few days ago I was walking through my office and I saw a group of women talking about a book that they had heard about; I approached them and from what they were saying I instantly recognised they were talking about The Game. In the past when a girl's been in my room and asked me about the book on my shelf I've told them about some of the theories in it and usually the girl says "That would never work on me". (Which is quite funny because that book is usually the reason they are in my room)

Anyway, I'm not worried that women know some of the 'techniques' proposed by The Game, what worries me is that the girls in work had found out about 'The Game' from this AMOG douche. Although this guy wouldn't have the commitment required to be a PUA it is still quite worrying how many people are learning about the community and the methods used; i.e. DHV, neg theory etc.

So, with the announcement of a possible movie and in a market saturated with so many e-books, videos, forums etc is it now time for the traditional forms of PUA to evolve? The PUA message has reached millions in the last 5 years so is it still realistic to continue on the same path, or is it time for change?

I'd like to know what the community thinks about this? Do you guys feel that soon everyone will be doing this stuff and we're destined to be back at square one?

No, not everyone. Certain people even if turned to it will study it but won't adopt it. Some may be lead to it but never look at it. Some may never hear of it. There are more and more people learning about it though. Maybe 50% of single guys will be in it in 10 years and I'm taking a wild ass guess.

The main thing for you to take from it is develop your own strategies. Sure, a lot of the stuff in PUA is good. But develop your own openers and style. You can take what you have learned and develop a method unique to anything else.

Oh I think it's definitely going to change. I'm 18 years old, I definitely see myself as a "next generation" sort of guy.

I stay on this site to satisfy some of my PUA curiosities, but I'm much more active on a high school forum. I keep a journal, and the mood over there is entirely on self improvement in all aspects of life. We don't talk much about routines or openers, just on presenting your best self at all times.

I think that's the direction PUA needs to go. While the new influx takes on The Game and the ideas presented in it, those really committed to this craft can become untouchable, by not trying to fake value, but to actually earn it.

The newbs will fall into two classes. Those who want and need this, and those who don't. Those who really care will use the routines established by the previous generation as a stepping stone toward real and lasting personal change. That's the way it's been going for a while, and that's the only honest way the system can work. Those who don't care will use routines foolishly and as their "cheat-code" to life. This will burn out the success of many routines, and make women able to recognize written material and more skeptical of it. We need to evolve beyond the routines.

1) The art of seduction has been there for centuries - Men and Women have been getting intimate for centuries - and will continue .

2) We all know women manipulate - can we still stop ourselves from getting manipulated?

3) Women use make up and spend hours to get dolled up - do we stop falling for them?
