Post subject:  Colleague giving mixed signals

I am an intern in a company. I have a colleague who is about 3-4 years older who was responsible for recruiting me into the company. So far I have been subtly flirting with her on and off. She is only a HB7 but she is a nice girl with a strong personality. Loud sometimes but firm and can be talkative too. The problem is she has been giving me mixed signals with effective push pull tactics. At work, she sometimes comes to my table to have small talk to me. At our recent company trip, she was the emcee for the dinner event with another guy. Just before she got off for a break, she jokingly said " Don't miss us yea". After she got down and sat at her table, I go up to her, did an over the shoulder tap and say "Oh I miss you already". She replies, "Oh really? Come sit on my lap then". I take a step towards her and she pushes me away saying "Go away!". WHATT?? I just got push-pulled like an AFC.. ahhh...Immediately, I gave her a disgusted face and I walk away. Later, I walk past her and lightly bump into her on purpose, then continued walking not caring what she thought.

Later, the band plays jazz music and people start dancing. I was outside, walking and talking to people around the hotel, so I did not know what was happening inside. After the event, I went back to my room and she texts me, "A few of us are gathering at the pool bar, come join us". I say "OK sounds like a plan" and come down 15 mins later. Saw her walking towards the pool bar, so I go up to her. She asks me," Why didn't you come dance with me just now?" I say, " I was outside, Why? You didn't have anyone to dance with did you?". She tries to qualify herself, "No there were many others who were dancing with me". We sit down with a bunch of others and she asks if I wanted to get some drinks with her. I say "Why? You are going to buy me a drink right?". She replies, " Yea alright, I'll buy you a drink." "Wow, you are one of the few sporting girls that buy guys drinks. Nice!", I say. "Yea I am one of the unique few. I drink beer too" she says. We get to the bar and order 2 Coronas and went back to join the others who were all sitting on bean bags on the beach. The guys started talking about them seeing me chatting up a few girls and told her, "I bet he(as in me) will hit on you at least once during this entire interaction. The few girls who were in the group have already been hit on by him today". She looked at me, shook her head and said "Don't be naughty" and got up and left. We ignored her and continued our conversation. She rejoined us about 15 mins later. There were a few times that she looked bored, and I think I should have asked her to go out for a walk on the beach with me, but I didn't think of it then.

After an hour, she gets up and tells me she's going to the toilet, and then she never returned. We spent another half an hour chilling before we left. I go up to my room and text her.
Me: Hey you said you were going to the toilet but then you disappeared..
HB: Went back to the hotel room.! lol. Was about to text you.
HB: Damn I'm sleepyyyyy
Me: Haha.. text me to wish me good night yea?
HB: Nightttt :)
Me: Awww.. Sleeping already? Actually my room is really close to yours. (Her room is a few doors from mine. She must've thought I wanted to make a sexual advancement on her because she replied..)
HB: Watch it junior.Don't get yourself into trouble. Nighttt
Me: Do me a favor, close your eyes and get rid of the age difference gap please. Btw, Im a good boy, I don't get into trouble. You on the other hand.... ;)
She doesnt reply.

I see her the next day and she didn't really talk to me too, besides introducing to someone else that I'm the new intern. I text her regarding not seeing her at lunch too and she doesn't reply too.

What is she trying to do?

I am not sure if she is single, because I saw her with pics of her with her bf on FB in 2010. I did not add her as a friend but just saw it as the available pictures on her profile. There was once she texted me "I am going out tonight with my friend. I say, "yea it's good to go out dating". She replies "Good statement ;)" I just feel that its a little weird to date a colleague whose older than me, if it doesn't work well, I am just afraid if it might feel awkward after.
