Long story short, I have spent the last few weeks getting over my one-itis with great success. I am no longer obsessed with her and would be fine if I never saw her again. That's not to say I'm not still slightly interested in her; just that I could certainly live without her at this point. We went on one date about 2 months ago which went very well, but was set back slightly since she was supposedly getting over an ex. Beforehand, she had given me tons of strong signals and there is no doubt in my mind that she was severely attracted to me. We go to school together so I saw her several times afterward, and it was obvious she still had a lot of interest in me. A few weeks later, she stopped talking to me completely. Pretended I didn't exist, stopped flirting, refused kino, stopped texting, etc. A few of our mutual friends said she was trying to distance herself from me because she didn't want me to be the rebound guy and was having too much trouble getting over her ex. The last I heard from her was about 3 weeks ago. Now, tonight, she decided to send a bullshit text to me trying to start conversation. I know what you're thinking, another stupid question about texting. But what is my best course of action here? Should I ignore it completely and see if she persists a few days from now, or should I make her wait several hours/days before responding, or what? We don't start class for another 2 weeks so I won't "accidentally" see her in person before then. |

Snarg I have met many such girls. The solutions is to be clear and concise. You have to let her know there's no in between. Make sure she knows that you have other girls in your life waiting for you. And make sure she knows your giving her a chance to be your girl or nothing. Once she knows she can't be in the middle she will have to chose between you or getting over her ex and then everything will be clear. Girls many times try to play with our minds. Don't let her do that to you. Good Luck! - Amazing Art - |

Thank you for the fast response. What you said is definitely my thought process toward her at this point. I am just uncertain of how I should proceed with communicating with her. Obviously, I don't want to jump right back into talking to her since it shows that I've been waiting for her this whole time and I'll come off as needy. But it would also be stupid if I ignored her completely since it's been so long and the bulk of the attraction I've worked to achieve has had time to wear off, so a freeze out isn't exactly the best solution either. Any ideas? |

Your talking right now like she's the last girl on earth. Who cares if she thinks your needy or anything else. People will always think something of you positive or negative. The person who doesn't care about what he/she thinks is the one that succeeds in life and for that matter pickup. So in your case the best thing to do would be to get few other girls in your life first and then do what I wrote before. |

Careful, methinks your Onenittis is on the verge of returning. You already care too much. Think to yourself how a less invested guy/a guy with OPTIONS would react to her, and fake it till you make it, as they say. By not talking to her at all you're shooting yourself in the foot, by over talking you'll look needy, most definitely. Is there not a middle ground? Hmm, I wonder...
