I took this hb8 out to this rave for our first date the other night. It was a good time, but she carried her phone the whole time and it felt like she was goin on it like once every 5-10 mins.. She was wearin this little dress so I asked if she wanted me to put it in my pocket and she was like naw thats ok. I just let it go and figured maybe shes one of those chicks thats just addicted to her phone haha.. which would make sense cause shes always texting me. But by the end I kinda wanted to say something, dont you guys think its rude to be on your phone all the time if your out with someone? Especially at a party like that! I went ahead and kissed her goodnight anyway but I didnt want to fuck her any more, and idk if I would necessarily even want to go out with her again lol iv never seen a girl iv taken out do that before. Have you guys ever experienced this? Thoughts? |

I'm not sure if she's the kind of girl you're looking for man. I mean, you're taking her to a rave on your first date. No classy or respectful girl would stay off her phone to be polite and go to a rave for a first date. That's the jist of what I get from it anyways. |

whats wrong with raves? dancing is fun as hell and a perfect way to ensure kino the entire night, we had a couple drinks, didnt take drugs or anything. I don't think it really has any bearing on how much class someone has. You really never take girls out dancing man? Nevertheless I agree with you that she may not be the kind of girl I'm looking for, because of the phone thing. |

If she's going to disrespect you like that, don't show her any respect in return. You can even walk away and completely leave her in her own world, since she's so buried in her phone. Unless it was areal emergency to be on her phone, it's very rude, next her |

1) Ask her to use her phone for something (your battery is dead, etc.) 2) Turn it off. 3) While handing it back (make sure you're in kino), whisper to her "Your phone can't make you feel nearly as I can." and kiss her on the neck. 4) Grab her hand and bounce her to another location. You've accomplished physical, emotional, and logistical issues all at once. |

Theres been a couple times, girl pulls out phone when we're hanging out or talking...and in a strong, stern tone I'll be like "Have you seen me pull out my phone while you were talking to me?" HB - No.. Me - Exactly, because its disrespectful, and I don't tolerate that shit..You're here with me, so put your phone away. Hb - jeez I'm sorry...*turns phone off/silent, puts it away* It depends what is going on though...I personally hate when I'm in mid-sentence with someone, and they pull out their phone and start paying attention to it, instead of me. One time an old boss of mine even did it...Luckily I was talking with my hands, and "accidentally" knocked his phone out of his hand....Needless to say every other time we talked after that he looked me straight in the face and paid no attention to his phone, even when it would ring during our conversation lol It really is disrespectful...You should be giving your attention to the person you're with, or talking to. |

That is one of the most disrespectful things anyone can do, in my opinion. Our generation thinks it's perfectly fine for the most part, and that's bullshit. One passive solution that has worked for me is to stop talking right in the middle of a sentence once she pulls her phone out. She'll pick up on the silence immediately and apologize and put it away for the rest of the night. I have had success with this virtually every single time. Of course, this wouldn't work very well at a rave. |

Agreed. A little silence goes a looong way. Field tested. |
