Post subject:  Setting up a date when busy

Hi guys,

Started a few days ago and got a few numbers, told one girl I liked i'd ring her tomorrow at a very spefic time(as a joke).

Thing is i busy until next week, should I ring her when I said I would and set up a date for next week, or ring her and tell her i'm busy until then and will ring her again Sunday evening to set something up when i'm free.

Should I be texting her Friday, Saturday too to keep her interest?

Cheers,
Paul

Ring her when you're not busy. Don't be try-hard.

Also, texts are too impersonal for "keeping her interest" and they don't allow you to maximize your communication potential. I would avoid them entirely except for quick status updates, like when you're gonna be late for a meet or something.

How about you ring her right now and say, "Hey it's blah blah, I want to see you this/next week, what day is good for you?" Tuesday. "Alright, take care."

But I told her i'd ring her tomorrow, should I just wait until next week to ring her then when i'm not busy?

Would you ring or text her during the week to keep in contact with her before the date?

I wouldn't even care about the contact before the date personally. But if you just sent a 'heart' that'd be more than enough. I wouldn't really worry though.

Not sure why the whole message didn't get sent the first time :s

You said you JOKINGLY gave her a very specific time to call. If you were SERIOUSLY committing to call her, that would be one thing, because building loyalty and trust involves keeping your word.

I was answering under the assumption that the JOKE was the implied OCD tendencies of making a specific phone-call date the next day.... If thats the case, you suck all the "Joke" out of it if you keep the appointment, and BECOME the guy you were making fun of.
