Post subject:  need help with facebook guy
so somehow im friends with this random guy on facebook (we kinda know some of the same ppl but we dont have the same friends) but we've never met. so anyways he chats me today and we talk for a while about usual things and we are trying to figure out how we became friends on fb. eventually he starts getting flirty and asking if im a good dancer and whatnot. when he was saying bye he said we should hang out sometime and asked for my number.

is this kid actually interested or what? any insight would be great. thanks

Yeah he is 100 percent interested. Guys do not go out on a whim to talk to a girl unless he is interested in you, and that is a fact.

No, he is interested. It's absolutely NORMAL for me to approach random girls on university campus, malls, even facebook. Giving your number to a guy has a very strong social definition and same with a guy asking for your number. Life is random, life is short. Just go with the flow and don't judge so much. I used to avoid approaching certain girls because even though they were hot, they looked bitchy to me. Turned out I was completely wrong and they were actually really shy of me.

ok thats good to know. he said he would text me sometime but he hasnt and that was like 5 days ago. has he lost interest or is it still kinda soon to text me?

I Doubt that he's lost interest. The fact that it was random just conveys that he's interested. A lot of the time w hen i get a number off a girl, i'll wait until i know when i want to hang out with them to do anything with it.

I'm guessing he's doing something similar, although it's impossible to tell for sure. We can't read his mind. He may need a reminder, it's super easy to forget if he has a lot of people in his life already. So if you message him on facebook, saying something like "hey, what's the deal, are we hanging out? :)" That is more than enough, and if he still doesn't reply back he's either not interested or living in a cave.

ehhh maybe, but i can see that it was sent from his phone so its questionable at this point. he hasnt contacted me yet. would i be odd to text him first? hes pretty hot so i dont wanna screw this up

Breex18, nothing wrong with texting him first. It's kind of his job, but doesn't mean you can't do it if you're into him. Just text him and ask him what's up, or even if he wants to do something.

so i took your advice and we've been texting for the past couple days and its going well! thanks for the advice
