Since I'm 30 y.o. most of my best(and coolest) friends are married and don't go out much and when they do it's just a bunch of married people, i.e. no single chicks! I want to start throwing house parties every month or two to get my social circle expanded and more interesting with more chances to meet more chicks. I want to make sure people (girls) show up and everyone has a blast! I have a small house that could be rearranged to be more party friendly and I have a single friend with a huge 4 bedroom house that would totally be down with doing it there sometimes too. Tips from the pros??? |

Music, BYOB, lots of people. Make jello shots or better yet jello syringes. Advertise early but not too early so that people forget about it. Hype it up big even if you don't know if it will be big. Have friends tell friends to tell friends. Have drinking games to play. Not much else to it! Cheers! |

Hey, I'm 28 and in the same boat you are. What my good friend and I have decided to do is to have a part every first Friday of the month. So it becomes routine for people. We usually try to make it a themed type part, but not dress up. So one month we'll have a kinetic tournament. Next week we'll have a part like "Think you know you wine? Come try your luck! Blind taste test boxed wine versus the 'good' stuff". Monster was right on just throwing the party and building the hype. When we started first two months as about 6 people. But, it has grown. The goal is that no matter how many people show up, all of you have a blast. Then they tell people to come to the next one. "Oh X and Y throw the funniest parties... or just X", Obviously, you have to like to entertain and be a good host for the first few... now I can just do whatever I want because there's enough people to take care of everyone else. Let me know how it works out. And, it's the best idea. We've gotten lays out of it but more importantly we've made some really kick ass friends. |
