Post subject:  Coffee or Drink?

Is it worth going for a coffee with a girl when first meeting? I usually try to go for a drink first because you can actually make a move. If a girl insists on coffee I often don't bother, even if it's comfort building. I think it's more important to make the move as soon as possible to set the tone. Thoughts?

Yeah you've got a point. But if you have the patience, building comfort (or gaining her trust) first would increase your chances at getting laid or succeeding with whatever plans you have with her..

Hope this helps

I usually don't care. Coffee can always lead to more. So can drinks. They're meeting up with me, and if there's chemistry there will probably be more fun. If there isn't, then I can do other things.

I do not use alcohol in meetings. Only on occasions like new year, birthdays or so. If you need some drinks in order to move - that's bad in my opinnion. You cheat yourself into being someone you're normally not.

Famn I even drink coffee or tea when my mates are ordering beer :D

I prefer drinks but either can be good just depends on your game :)

Thanks for the replies. I guess my angle is that I try not to put too much time into something unless it's going somewhere. It's not really about the alchohol but the setting. People usually have things to do during the day, but in the evening one thing can lead to another.
