This girl I have known for quite awhile who belongs in an extended circle of friends, would constantly tell her friends (girls) that she is really into me and wants to hook up. Luckily I'm really good friends with one of her girlfriends who gives me the inside scoop without her knowing, this is how I found out she had a thing for me... very advantageous to say the least. Despite this something hasn't been working out. I am still unsure if I would get into an actual relationship with her but she is a cool girl and i am 100% down to hook up with her. Here comes the hook she recently told her friend that I am not someone she would date but I would be someone she would marry. I still can't wrap my head around what this means? Then just last week my idiot friend who is also friends with her (it was through him as to how I met her) was drunk and told her that I would hook up with her (without me knowing at the time). She told him that I never had a chance in the first place. I should also mention that she previously told him that she wanted to hook up with me weeks prior. She is not really conservative and usually speaks what's on her mind so I am almost positive she didn't say that out of being embarrassed. She has been really cold while talking to me lately, alot different to how she used to act towards me. Just yesterday she invited me to come out to some club with a bunch of friends which seemed unusual. I said I would meet them there. Does anyone have any clue what I should do/act around this girl? Or any logical ideas what she must be thinking? |

That seems to indicate that she thinks your a nice guy she admires, but isn't attracted to for hooking up. In general you want to be the dating type, not the marrying type. Everything else militates this viewpoint, I would totally ignore/freeze her out for a bit then re-evaluate the situation. |
