Girl from my class. After going through all the other girls and finding out all the ones I would be interested in have boyfriends, she is the last girl I would be interested in the class. She is also one of the few I haven't really engaged yet. She is probably a HB6 (not that hot, but there is something about her that attracts me...), so i was going to use something like "Hey, can I ask you a question? Are you single?" If yes say i'd like to get to know her and get her number. But if she says no, I don't know how to respond. What you think? |

I wouldn't start out by asking her if she's single. That would let her know that you are directly looking for a relationship, and as I've experienced before, this creep's some girls out (and may in fact be the reason the other girls in your class weren't interested.) She is probably a HB6 (not that hot, but there is something about her that attracts me...), so i was going to use something like "Hey, can I ask you a question? Are you single?" If yes say i'd like to get to know her and get her number. But if she says no, I don't know how to respond. What you think? Try asking something about whats goin on in class. Maybe she could help you study because you "dont know wtf the teacher was talkin about". Just be smooth. ~Towelie |

if she says no, then reply, "me neither, just looking 4 a new friend"She is probably a HB6 (not that hot, but there is something about her that attracts me...), so i was going to use something like "Hey, can I ask you a question? Are you single?" If yes say i'd like to get to know her and get her number. But if she says no, I don't know how to respond. What you think? and as the previous post said, it's not a good opener. |

I haven't used that line on the others in the class, I found out through casual conversation they had boyfriends. I was just wondering if I should be more direct with this girl as I don't talk to her. I talk to these three girls that sit on my side of the room around me. Eh, we'll see what happens... |

No, do NOT open her that way. It shows WAY too much interest, right off the bat. As was suggested, ask her about something going on in the class. Something that you two can just TALK about. Something that is normal, that sounds like you're just looking for a friend. |
