| Post subject: | What are some exercises you can do to get you over AA??? |
I can only do daygame because I'm to young to go out to clubs or anything. It's hard during the day because I always get that feeling that you can only talk to people you know. I want to get over that barrier of being able to go up to a stranger and start a conversation without being extremely nervous. The only thing I can do is ask for directions with out being nervous but other than that I'm scared to even look at a hot girl for more than 2 seconds. Is there any exercises I can get for not being terrified when going to initiate a conversation with a girl? In other words things that helped you get over your Aproach Anxiety? |

Ask casual girls in your age after the direction and try to start for smalltalk. I think you have to practice to hold eye contact, too. But you are already on the right path. |

What I did to work with AA, because of course getting rid of AA is in my opinion impossible, you just have to learn to work with it instead of it being an obstacle, so what I did when I first started was I would casually open everyone that would cross my way, just by saying Hi how you doing with a smile and from then you make small talk, doesnt have to be 5 minutes long, just talk to people, old young guy girls doesnt matter its to get used to the strong emotion you get when you approach someone you dont know. Of course some people will probably think your just a creepy d00d but hey if you give a fuck, chances are you'll end up crying in a bathroom stall by the end of the day so best thing I can tell you is, dont care about the reaction, usually people are nice if your nice and smile but hey, theres always a party pooper somewhere |

1-Practice talking to people in general, not only hot girls2-Approach/game old people. When I say game, I mean from the point of making conversation and being friendly. Old people tend to be more receptive. 3-Start making eye contact with everyone. Whenever you pass by someone, make eye contact and say "good morning/afternoon/evening". Simple. 4- Read about inner game and try to improve your own. Joseph Matthews (Thundercat) has some pretty good stuff. 5- Face your fears. AA will never go away. Whether it goes from a paralyzing fear to a mere tingling sensation with practice, that's another thing. You have to confront your fears, or they'll always hunt you. 6- Read the book "Feel Fear and Do it Anyway" from Susan Jeffers (I have a small review of the book on my website - link below).
