| Post subject: | Girl brings up another guy? |
Following a blunder with texting a girl last night, I decided to try my text game again today with a different girl. Here's how it's going so far (I got her number yesterday but I never gave her mine) ME: Sara, hi! It's Turtle, I was busy saving the world last night so I thought I would shoot you a text now HER: Haha wow that totally made my morning thank you lol ME: All in a day's worth of work! I just got out of a meeting, are you free tonight? HER: No actually I'm home sadly. Sry :p what did you have in mind though lol? ME: Holding auditions for becoming my sidekick in saving the world HER: Haha oh darn I missed the opportunity of a lifetime! :p lol. you should go ask Bob lol. When she said "home" it's her actual home. She lives in the dorms and I guess she goes homes during the weekend. Bob is a mutual friend that we met through. How should I proceed? |

This exchange is ok. Just let go of your concern about the outcome of these text forays.. Now I'm a bit older, been out of college for a while, but there is one thing I've learned - and that is not to wear out a joke with girls. They say that guys are the ones who like 'shiny things', but girls' attention spans are short yo. So in my opinion the 'saving the world' was an opener here. When she asked what you had in mind, i personally would have given her something concrete. That way, even if she's at home and unable to do it, you have seeded that experience and the emotion you created by asking her out. your mutual friend isn't really an issue here - ignore that shit |

Don't use smileys because their GF's always use em, I straight up asked a girl if she gets to many smileys from other girls and she said "OMFG YES. They are always like they are gay |
