So this chick at work has shown me a shitload of IOI's, I think:

-says hi to me first
-says come talk to me
-has hugged me before and went "ooh" at musculature
-has called me handsome after i made a sarcastic remark
-asked if I missed her last week
-instead of me emailing her something, she said you should take me

There are a few problems. She is roughly 7-10 years older then me, has a kid, and just finished a divorce. I am in my early 20s, so she is in her sexual prime.

So today, I think i made a mistake, but I'm not sure, since she is the older one who has to prove shes still the attractive one to younger guys, am I right?

I complimented her for the first time, on her hair color. I said "whats this going on? red is my new favorite color" and she said "that was sweet of you!" and I go "that wasnt sweet" and I leave.

But the thing is gentlemen, I have youth on her, and she might be vulnerable at this time due to her divorce. Don't get me wrong, shes hot, but is it ok to compliment older women in this scenario MORE then I would with a younger broad?

she's just older not an alien. she still like same things if not more than other girls.

complimenting older women in my book makes them happier than younger ones. tell her she look much younger than she actually is and you'll have her sucking you in no time!

hehe. they also have more experience in bed so you should have better seX!

^^ this. Do you really care about how old she is? If she's hot, she's hot.

As for the divorce and kids thing: if you don't want to get attached to her, then just let her know. Early. She may just be looking for a hookup, maybe more. Who knows. Just make sure she knows what you're looking for. The last thing you want is a clinger who is looking for a replacement husband.

Depends on you, the woman and her situation. My wife is 30 and would never consider hooking up with a guy in his early 20's -- she thinks they're all immature d-bags (BTW, I know this because we're swingers). The other factor is that you said she is recently divorced. You don't get divorced if your marriage is exciting, so she's probably not been fucked right in years. And I think that bodes well for you. One thing to remember, though, is that older women have often gotten to a place in their lives where they know about the power they have over men and they enjoy taunting guys they see as little boys. So, I think the big question is whether she's showing real interest or whether she just toying with you?

Also, do not assume that, from her perspective, she has to prove that she's attractive because she's older. If she is attractive, the situation is likely the opposite. What do you have to offer next to men her age or older? They are probably better in bed, make more money, offer more interesting conversation and are of higher status and higher value all around.

And, yes, like other posters have already said, older women are way more fun in bed :)

I'm 22 years old and from May up until about last week, I was regularly hooking up with a 45 year old woman (very hot) so I feel I am qualified to pass judgement here.

A compliment here and there can really work wonders, often after a divorce they may be feeling slightly more fragile and self-conscious. Showing them respect (don't tease them as much), never making them think they're age bothers you and complimenting them on looks and youthfulness worked wonders for me.

You haven't ruined anything. It's good to compliment her, just don't do it so much that she gets sick of it or thinks your just saying things to get in her pants.
