Hey guys! So I'm out and about trying out the newbie mission and I've noticed there's one major obstacle standing in my way. See, I have no problem making eye contact with the opposite sex, then giving them a smile and all, but more often than not, they don't even turn my way to begin with! Its like they walk right by without even knowing I was there. I now know what being a ghost feels like! Anyhow, So the noob mission says that you should just say Hi to them, but I'm wondering if I should STILL just say something aloud in their direction, despite them not looking. Also, sorry if this has been addressed before, I'm pretty new here. Any help would be appreciated though, if this post even made any sense! Cheers! |

I just talked to someone about this just yesterday I believe. Anyways, this is a common question. I took some time to figure it out. You can peacock 24/7 or you can change you how walk. Since I am not a huge fan of obnoxious peacocking, I figured out how to get attention. Here's the link:http://www.associatedcontent.com/articl ... html?cat=5 I hope this helps you out, it worked for me and others I've shown it to... |

You haven't described anything uncommon and your mindset seems good but I will share one little jewel related to your issue that took me way longer then it should have (years) to figure out. If your gonna open, canned or situational, or just say "Hi" make sure you are logistically situated to fully engage her if she responds. This means she has to be stationary or you have to make her stationary. I used to do this "drive by hi" bullshit but its too easy to be blown off before you can even get blown out. Give your self a chance for a real rejection and make sure your planted when you spit game. |

The point of the mission is to be willing to say hi, its not even that important if they respond. So don't let that deter you. Besides, if people dont' know you they aren't expecting you talk to you anyways. Just do it, and who knows, some may stick around wanting to chat! |

your problem is that you are delivery your opener too late when they are too close you so they dont seem to notice you, in this case even if they reply, they would shoot their reply over their shoulders and keep walking. You need to deliver your opner when they are a few feet away. Even better make a stop sign with your hand and when they stop say,"i think you are so cute. I couldnt help but stopping you to say hi" the purpose of this is not literally to say hi. Its to talk to them. You can ask them for directions too. Or let them pass you then turn around and go back to them, keep walking to their side and oppen them in that way. I would suggest to add this information in newbie's mission if its not already there so that it makes this step of the mission clearer |

The newbie mission eh? this is a good practice for beginners. You wanna be heard? make your voice a little bit loud when talking or engaging a conversation like they know that you are there in your presence! (No Yelling) Force yourself to make an eye contact don't be scared or get nervous she won't bite you, look at her right straight through her eyes and when she looks back at you give her a smile. -TheNaturalPlayboy |

Quote: i agree with this. good link, btw. i have experimented with this. and what i've found, is i used to think it was "me" that wasn't worth looking at, but it wasn't. it was my "body language" and a large part of that is the way you walk...also stand, turn, gaze, move, etc. women are body language reading CREATURES. half the time they have no idea what we are even saying, but they know how we move. Also, for people who are new and don't know how to open well, giving a compliment is a great opener, but you have to be very specific in the compliment, Every guy says "hey you are really hot/cute/beautiful" But few say "Hey I love your glasses/shirt/pants" Make the direct compliment about a decision they made and not something they can help like eyes, lips etc. Do: Hey I love your glasses. [thanks] I love that after I get bored of looking at your eyes I can check myself out in the reflection. Don't: I love your eyes [thanks] (then anything you have to say after this is too creepy because it has to be more detailed which means you've been staring at her) |
