Post subject:  How do you get motivated in PUA???

Some days I just feel like not approaching anyone at all but then when I do that I'm back to day 1 when I was terrified of approaching. I'm sure you guys have experienced this before but when you have really bad AA you have to do it even if you don't feel like it. In your experience how do you motivate yourself to go out there and sarge when you don't feel like it?

Go to the gym and dress well. Even if that means spend a little on new clothes.

If you feel like you look good, you do good.
Think about when you last thought "Wow, I look freaking cool right now"
Do you remember how it made you feel?
I'm guessing it gave you a big boost, and gave you a certain type of energy which made you want to go out and show off your confidence.

Try that (y)
Again, it's all very subjective - what motivates you and what doesn't depends on you.
Personally, this approach works well for me.

Ultimately the best advice I can give you is to find out what motivates you specifically. I guess by posting this you are trying to do that already though, so good job :)

Exactly ... Not only that I like to picture myself 6months into the future and Imagine where I could be and what type of skill level I could be at ie Mastery level.

Or Imagine me being with that girl that night after approaching her, Is just enough to get me motivated these days.

Well to be quite honest, how badly do you want to succeed in this stuff honestly?

The funny thing about game is that if you build a lot of momentum AA doesnt really affect you as much but if you stop for an extended period that momentum is lost and you feel that anxiety again.

Its only after a couple of months roughly between 6 to 12 months that you will be able to deal with anxiety all the time, Approach anxiety never goes away, your ability to handle it just gets better.

I suggest looking at it at this perspective...if you dont feel like going and you dont feel like approaching women perhaps you should go out anyways, who knows what the night/day might bring you...you could meet a really cool chick and have a lot of fun but you wont meet her if your at home playing video games.

Mind you sometimes after long extended periods of gaming constantly you do have to avoid burning out but this is only if youve been consistently going out every week atleast 2 times a week.

I find that if I'm tired when I go out, I'm less motivated to do anything except drink. Although, sometimes the thought crosses my mind that I'm wasting opportunities which is a spot motivator.

If I'm going out on a saturday night, for example, I'll workout during the day (run, cycle or weights), I'll do some pushups and crunches too. These all get me into the frame of mind - running is a great form of meditation as it clears your mind of all the stresses in life.
I hate being in a rush to get ready, so I would tend to leave 2/3 hours of lone chill time to relax and build up the energy. Then shave, shower, hair etc.

Other motivational things include:
- Listening to music while you're getting ready,
- learn &/or practicing openers (if you use canned material),
- energy drink,
- meditation

Clearing all the negative thoughts from your mind is the trick. Think: Every night out is going to be good.

Also, think outgoing, fun, talkative, attractive, cool, calm, confident and positive

...then plan your objective(s) (#-, k-, f-).
