Post subject:  let them know you were listening to their conversation?
lets say there are 2 girls who are sitting over there talking about something
like about Jack Black's new movie or about last night's police chase on TV or anything.
Can you interrupt and say something about it? or they will think you are a weirdo/rude for listening to their conversation?

If you know what they're talking about, you can definitely get in the middle of the conversation as long as you're somewhat respectful.

To me, that's one of those situations in which you could say something like "Hey, sorry to interrupt guys, but are you talking about_______"

I know many people have problems with saying "sorry" or "excuse me" but hey, sometimes rules can be broken too ;)
