So, you've successfully gamed and you're horizontal. How (and when) should you signal that you don't want a romantic relationship but are up for FWB, without coming across like a jerk who's only interested in one thing? Can you be the good guy before the act by managing expectations and yet still close properly? |

You don't have to, because relationship isn't implied by sex. If you can get to the point of sex and you haven't said "I love you" or "I want you to be my girlfriend" or "I only do serious relationships," then you need say nothing. Your lack of saying something more is enough to make it known. |

Perhaps with US younger people - but my impression is that for a UK couple in their 30s/40s, the convention might be different.

Well I'm 28 as well but live in Australia, and I don't think anyone here is under any illusions that sex = relationship. Basically the unwritten law is you are FWB until you've discussed otherwise. |
