Post subject:  Paying - DHV or DLV?

First of all I know there is a topic out there called How Much Do Women Cost that is about paying when dating but I have a specific question.

Second I'm in a relationship now but it got me curious.

Example: I paid a girl I was fucking a plane ticket to see me while I was spending my winter in Spain (I hate winters). It cost me about 400€ (500$).

Her coming to me wasn't a big deal to me at the time and I spend more than that on cigars weekly so it wasn't like I "invested" in her coming to see me I just swiped my card because I enjoyed her company.

So is this a DHV (I can afford it) or DLV (I'm paying you to see me).
... Or does it depend on how you play it? For example does she know that I'm fucking other girls where I am so I'm not paying for a lay etc.

Edit: This is just an example. It also applies to paying for other stuff when hanging out with girls. Paying for tickets, hotels etc. I drop cash because I don't think about it. I always tought that it doesn't come across as being needy cuz' of the vibe I give out.

I'd say a DHV if you just do it without making a big deal out of it.
Where as if you mentioned once or multiple times "I spent 500$ on that ticket for you" It would begin to sound like you are trying to impress, which is a DLV.

Just do it and don't care if it's a DHV or DLV and it will actually be a DHV.
Caring is Devaluing

Yeah. Exactly how I was thinking. Btw I didn't even tell her the price when she asked. She saw it later when she picked up the ticket at the airport (I never noticed that there is a price on those things :) ).

I also like the answer "khuram" gave. It's not about offering to pay it's about paying if you feel like paying and not using it as a tool.

Exactly the point, in some way it was good for you she found out the price on her own. She may have thought "It cost him this much and he didn't even bust my balls over it? What the.."

Really gives a sense of alpha, you do what you like, cause you want to. Just as you said.
