If I tell her I'm going to talk to that group over there because they seem more polite, and she says "okay, go ahead". What do I do? How would I handle that?

You walk over to the dam group...
Lets go over it, you say "nvm" and stay there, and shes the dominate one with the filled up ego, you go over there, you meet new people that arnt stuck up, and you leave a stuck up girl.

OK, maybe my initial reply wasn't enough . . .

How would you react if a girl you're chatting with tells you that she's going to chat with somebody else because he is better looking, looks like he's a better catch, and has a better style?

I forgot to mention this is in a playful manner doing a push-pull using DQ's.

I forgot to mention that in my example, the girl could have ended her rant by saying, "Just kidding, you're not a total tool . . . LOL . . " and then walked away.

So you explained yourself and I can see your angle a little better now but you've still left a huge target on your forehead that says, "shoot me". You made it easier for her to make you look like an idiot than it is to make a connection with you. Everybody will always ROLL into the easiest position possible as nobody ever really thinks about anything. You say, "I'm going to go . . ." what do you expect her to say?

In the future, if you want to OFFER her the answer through the question, why not ask her, "Hey, you better behave or else I'm going to give you a spanking in front of alllll these people!...." Wouldn't this be a better idea? It's enough work to BRING them closer to us through conversation, no need to proactively push them away. . .

I also see your 'jealous' angle. If you want to work this, just tell her you're going to the boys room and then on the way back chat with the girls in the next group. She'll see it. I seldom give out silly little specific tricks but in THAT GROUP, do what ever it takes to get a peck on the cheek. Tell her your grandmother died, your dog died, whatever . . . get the wohhhhh . . . point to your cheek. Get the smooch. The first girl is watching.

It can also mean she's not interested. I use this kind of disqualification rather seldom but the times I used it, she either begged me to stay or she pulled me physically back. So the line isn't bad, it's the mere fact you can only use it when she's on a acceptable level of interest. And even then there will be people who will simply say ok because they think they're not interesting enough or who don't want to waste your time.

Oh I see you used a small insult in the line too. Then you must really be sure that she's interested. I use the line without a neg. "I'm going back to my friends now". Simple as that.
