So therefore I am considering going solo but I have never done this before. I was wondering if I could get some tips for going solo from people who have gone solo before. Stuff like if there are some openers that would work on my own. Also, I feel more comfortable when I'm out with mates/puas because after opening a set, I can go back to them and just chat, have a laugh...What do you do on your own after leaving a set? Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance. PS. When I say leaving a set, what I tried to say was how do you not look like you are on your own on a night out when you are not in a set? Do you ever lie and say you've lost your mates or do you tell the truth and say you went on a night out on your own to sets? |

If you game solo in a venue, the first thing you should do is to greet everyone you see and pass by! It makes you the Most Social Guy in the venue, and it makes less awkward for yourself. You will notice, that everyone will greet you back. Some of them will start a conversation with you! You will stay and have this convo, these are the warming-up sets. After a few of those, your self confidence will raise. You feel like superman and you feel comfortable to open every set in the venue In the end, whether or not you hook up with a girl, you go home with a big smile and you are very confident. Why? Because you are gaming solo! |

Just be really social to everybody from the moment you step in the door. After you open a set and youér finished with it you can go to another group you've introduced yourself earlier and talk about it to them. I'm sure that a group of guys would find it an interesting story. I also like to just start a small texting convo with one of my friends when I need a breather. But the general advice here is: be really social and talk to everybody! Otherwise you will also be seen as a bit of a loner and that's not how you want to be viewed. Oh, and I actually never say that I'm out alone (most people perceive that as weird) so I just tell them I lost my friends, or they already went home because they were tired/sick. |
