So I was walking to get some salad from the cafeteria which is basically a buffet. Over to my left I see a girl sitting at a table with some guys. We make eye contact and I kept looking without breaking it no matter what. She ended up breaking eye contact after 3 seconds then half a second later she looked back at me (as I was still looking). Meanwhile, I was putting salad on my plate with metal clamps and instead I was putting the salad NEXT to my plate (I didn't know it). The girl started to smile/laugh and I was smiling too. Then an old black woman working there came from the side and said, "You're making a mess hun!" I tried to not break eye contact and I kept looking at the girl. Finally I looked over and I wasn't even putting the right type of salad onto my "plate". I said, "My bad.." picking up the salad, etc. The woman ended up giving me a soft slap on the ass as if "You're a bad boy." I then smiled to myself and kept moving slow, keeping my cool. I proceeded and added the other toppings to my salad, etc. This wasn't even a pick-up, I just always maintain eye contact until the girl looks away first. Sometimes I wink and keep a poker face, other than that I wonder if it's better to not smile during eye contact, it makes me feel all gay. |

Cool story, bro? Lol.. I think it's good practice to wait until the girl looks away, though! |

Eye-contact is, if not the most, then definitely one of the most important qualities you should get down correctly. Eight out of ten men will break eye contact or not maintain it for more than a second or two when a girl looks at them, according to a study. |
