OK so basicaly I'm trying to get into some sort of meditation. This is gonna be good for me cause I've hit a certain point in life, where things started to change and it's like I have my new life in front of me, but the old one is just pulling me back, I've got a lot of stress on my ass As far as I googled it, I really like Buddhist meditation, cause imo it's not some general bullshit "You'll gonna fix your life in a week" meditation, but it really focuses on certain things in life that are important and gives you a wider perspective. Also tantric meditation doesn't sound bad either So to not bore you with the details What books or material would you recommend to someone that is a beginner in this thing, I know some of you guys on this forum have done this things (Chief, Ezo and Rye Lee as far as I know) I know that the simplest thing for me would be to go to far east for like a year |

I'm actually reading Ekhart Tolle, "Power of Now". Great book, almost done with it. It's a blend of eastern and western philosophy (though if you ask Tolle, he'd reject the categorization and say it's just the way things are). This is like a go-to book. Tyler Durden recommended it. I actually really enjoy this and plan to make meditation a daily practice now as well. Definitely check it out. |
