Hey guys, me and my friend are new to this, and have this mixer this saturday, and we need some help on the dance floor. last week we went to a mixer at a university, we basically went up to girls and ask" would you girls like to dance",,, and it didnt work well.... the dance floor is loud... so any suggestions? do you approach them and start asking "you girls having fun"? what would be a good opener to use on the dance floor? should we both approach a two set, or is it better for one to approach a two set and bring them over to a specific location? thanks |

Dance floors and clubs can be difficult with the talking game. If the music is to loud and they can't hear you. If your non-verbal skills are good (i.e. eye contact, smile, wink, whatever) they can be a opener. When you do talk keep it short and don't yell in their ear. Dance floors can be a good place to break the physical boundary, touch her back or shoulder. But do it with confidence don't have ass it then it seems creepy. If you want to bring them off the floor, make contact with one on their two set and bring back to your friend who is at the bar or other place (making sure you got a spot). say something like "Hey lets go over to the bar where we can talk." I am a fan of forming requests in the form of a order, rather than question This is how I would attack this situation. If you want to open with them off the dance floor, I would avoid asking them to dance right away. This is because you take them from a place where you can talk into a environment where it is harder to talk and you relay on non-verbal. Like I said before dancing can be a good mid-game move to break the physical boundary. |
