Ok, so I have a common sticking point maybe some guys can relate to. I get a girls number, neg her a bit, talk back and forth, freeze her out for the requisite amount of time if she doesn't respond in a timely manner...Then, she will do something unexpected like not respond to a text AT ALL. Like a text asking her how her Christmas was (not the greatest, but just starting a convo back up after freezing her out a couple days). I have two girls I've played essentially the same way freezing me out right now. Do I just continue to wait for a response, or take initiative and send another text/call in a couple days if I hear nothing? I know both girls are interested, but the non-response is confusing. Don't want to appear like a chump and send another text from a non-response. I try to never send a two successive texts. without reciprocation. |

I view texting as a means to an end - the end being a meet in person. Keep texts short, direct, straight to the point etc. Don't get caught up in small talk and lame conversation - such as the question about her Christmas. I agree with you about not sending two texts without reciprocation. Instead of texting, next time try ringing her. At this point I would stick with the freeze out and let them reinitiate contact with you - if they are interested as you say, they will do eventually. ~Deebo |

Thanks Deebo, that makes a lot of sense. I tend to get stuck into the lame conversation, and my attempts to stop it usually result in my inaction/freeze out tactics as coming off rude. It's tough to find that balance. |

Why not text something she would really want to know that forces her to ask you a question.. then never text back so the thought is on her mind for a chunk of her time. You drive her crazy... shes not gonna stop thinking about what you said, forcing her to not stop thinking about you. I prefer to call, I only text when I'm being reciprocated something on an immediate level... ex. "you gonna be there at 8? I will... bye" Small talk is a bad idea. She can get it from her friends, family, etc. Why would she want more of the same!? You must keep things interesting in order to get what you pay for, you digg? There's two things you can do... Call her in a few days and make her DHV for you using proper questioning, which will hold her interest... or keep on the text path, but wait a few days & send something like... "aliens are abducting all of the good looking people, don't worry! you will be safe... im just texting to say goodbye!"... funny things like this, for instance, (that i saw somewhere in this forum in text game) will be your best option... IF you choose to go that route. Keep it playful, make it a game that she has got to win in order to get a day 2 with you... Remember that YOU are the prize and the host of this gameshow... shes merely a contestant... |
