Post subject:  text game: did i screw up? how should i respond?

I've just met this girl a week ago and we kinda been fluff talking a bit, decided to try to go for a day2 but kinda veered off, im probably screwed up but cant figure out where.

me: so has it happened yet?
hb: what happened?
me: have you fallen in love with me yet?
hb: wow coorny! if i did, not anymore :P haha kiddings
me: hmm, ur just taking longer than the others :P we need to kick it more, so the process will go faster :P
hb: you think you can snagg me?
i didnt want to buy into her frame of me chasing her so i tried to reframe it, didnt work out as i thought it would =/

me:ur already falling for me! but careful girl, im a heartbreak waiting to happened >
hb: I guess... whatever floats ur boat

any good responses to this? or should i just not text back and try again in a day or so?

Dude,, that was some cool stuff. I don't have to tell you you pushed that line one step too far. You know that. She shut you down. Big deal,, I hate texting.

Don't let her shut you down though, because it is a shit test. You do have to move away from that line you were on.

"I can think of a lot of fun things that float my boat. LOL! ANywho, hey, let's grab some pizza."

Something like that.

Dog, stop overanalyzing some 5 line conversation. You're fine.

Bust her balls, be playful, and don't talk to her like a friend.

...which you're doing just fine.

You shoulda responded "the real question is , can u snag me cause im no easy catch:) "
but thats in the past so go ahead and ask her "where does that come from?" and when she asks wat ur talkin about u say ""watever floats ur boat" where does that come from it sounds so old fashioned" or something to neg her about the expression she used. The open ended question in the beginning is crucial though so u can hook her back in to a conversation. When she starts qualifyin to u tell her she needs to get into the modern world and u know the perfect place for it." thats a start anyway but dont get set in anything like this because this is only a suggestion

imo, if those are the only texts, then u threw in wayy toooo much of those. IMO, the C/F should be here and there, not constantly. You overdid IMO. IMO, stop with the pick up c/f lines and get her into something interesting. Just be like, "Alright, your missing out. Maybe we'll hang out sometime this week".

Who says I want to "snag you"? or Well, Do you think you could "snag me"?

Wait, the bottom two lines of text aren't exactly ideal. You should have said that line right after she mentioned the whole "snagging" deal which is a word I'm not to fond of...

I don't think she liked the "heartbreak"... she might be looking for a LTR and you basically said you'd dump her. *shrug*

Otherwise it's pretty spot on to what I text...
