I agree with guruz. It is a compliance test, but maybe you should reconsider wearing a gay wrist band, unless you like it ofcourse.

girl commented on a kinda girly wristband i wear. I made some sort of gay joke but that didn't work very well. Idealy i would have liked to have flipped it around so she would then be on the defensive but i would have no idea how to do this. |

This is so easy. Negative reactions are simply congruence tests. No one gives a shit about your clothing, they just want to see if you're going to break state when they challenge you. They want to know if you really are who you portray yourself as. You don't have to defend yourself in any way, other than to maybe laugh and say that YOU like the clothing (and that's all that matters). When people see you standing your ground, you'd be surprised at how often they will turn around and compliment you instead. Commend them on their good taste. |
