DEAr Puas,

I am sometimes running into opening a set. I run an opener, whatever it may be, especially nowadays i am using the UFO OPENER.

The set just does not reply or they say no and turn away. What should i do if that happens.

UFO OPENER: Hey this is the Pitt street and I have heard that there was a UFO sighting, a blue ball appeared in the sky for five minutes, here did you guys see it.

You're ending with a yes or no question.

Switch the ending to something that entices opinions. Like what would you think if you saw it? Or How would you feel if you saw it?

I'm not a fan of opinion openers and wouldn't even go that route, but you asked something specific and if I had no choice but to use that, this would be the route I would take to improve it.

Ok bro i get it now the improved edition is:

"hey guys this is (whatever street) and I have heard that a UFO has appeared in the sky and there was a blue ball that existed for five minutes. How would you feel if you see that shit".

Then you won't have to tweak an opener that doesn't work ;)

Anyway, yeah that will definitely be an improvement. If you're comfortable with that style go for it. Post about if that helped or not.

1. As was mentioned your opinion opener is closed ended
2. I have a feeling you're focusing on the words. Your energy, delivery and mannerisms are FAR more important than the actual structure of what you're saying
3. As has been mentioned, your opener is a bit weird, and sounds rather abstract. Open with something that they can relate to rather than a random opener that they quite likely have no interest in.

The hi and smile thing was what i Used to do ......before, never worked.......instead the girls looked at me like with a weird eye thing and said nothing.......I would stop after that !

For me it doesn't work ! I guess!
