Hi, I have a date set this thursday in Amsterdam, we confirmed the time and location. But from the way our text game went on, I have a gut feeling she is going to flake last minute. Is there anything I can do in preparation? I guess not, these things happen. Allthough I have a good gut feeling for these things.. Cheers, Jasper |

You can send a ping text a few hours beforehand and say something like, "How's your day ?" Send a couple light and playful responses through text then confirm for that night if she hasn't already. |

Similar to Will Edward's suggestion, I often text to suggest a small change of time on the day. Usually they will text back to confirm, but if they don't confirm (until an hour before you meet) or want to cancel for some reason, then obviously they don't want to meet. Especially since they could have let you know their change of circumstances earlier. Despite gut feelings though, you should always assume the best - you're good enough, you've done enough, proceed "as if" it's on until proven otherwise. Don't want to develop a cycle of negative self-fulfilling prophecies. Heck, she should be worried if you are going to flake! |

Gut feelings about flakes are usually right. As a preventative measure, you can text every day up until the date, or just the day before, or even just the day of (you have to judge that by your situation). If she stands you up... what has always worked for me is doing nothing until she initiates contact. |
