My problem is more 50/50 when I finally get up and get the conversation started im great and have lots of charisma but its hard to even get that far and if I do I eventually run outa game and fall on my face I think my biggest thing is I do better in numbers but my closest help to tell me where I am wrong is in 18 hrs away so im my own wing half the time so is it im nervous because im alone or is it more just the mental aspects of it but when I close and get a number im amazing after that I can kiss closs and even f close on first date but just not good at first meeting

Do not worry about working up the courage or having something witty to say. It's not about what you say, rather how you say it. Look at the bright-side, 1 guy approaching a group of girls is less intimidating than 2 guys

Understandable, plus going out with a friend is typically more enjoyable, which gets you in a better mood. Not to say the same mood and spirit cannot be attained while going out alone, it is just more difficult.

Sometimes when I go out alone I adopt the frame that I am waiting on a friend, the idea seems more comfortable. Also, it gets you in a more receptive mood to meet new friends both male and female.
