I cannot seem to make this work, but I know I have to get better at it. If I can get a girl to meet me for coffee, it's usually game on. If she'll meet me for a drink, even better. But girls who invite me out to meet them when they're already with their friends are just such a challenge to me! It's a daunting task. You need to build attraction with the girl while competing with her friends for her attention. You need to impress every member of the group so you don't get cockblocked. It's especially hard for me because I always go out alone so I don't have any of my own wings to add to the conversation or help me DHV. My goal for right now isn't to F-close women when I meet them out, because that's too advanced. It's mostly just to build attraction, k-close, and make them interested enough to want to see me again. Seriously, almost every time I've gone to meet a girl out, it ends up getting awkward and tense and I have this moment of indecision where I feel like I should just walk away because I'm not contributing to the conversation. And usually there is no Day 2 to speak of afterwards. I become the "who invited this guy?!" joke of the group. My guess is I have to be friendly with everyone, including the guys and try to involve myself in their conversation. Then potentially isolate once we're all cool with each other. It's just so tough being the guy under the microscope. Any insight?? |

Start talking to everyone. Next time you go to a bar, your goal isn't to hit on women. Connect with a shit load of different people, different personalities. Improve your social skills overall. This will all lead to you being able to talk to different types of people, your girl's friends included. |
