Post subject:  NEED help when the conversation goes quiet

i sometimes get the 'auquard silence'. I have to re meet a small really shy quiet girl, that doesnt try to carry on the conversation because she is quiet. Anyone got any amazing tricks/mind games etc, to loosen it up a bit ..........

The idea is to be interesting not "the entertainment". At some point the girl has to participate in the conversation which itself is an indicator of interest. If you have to work that hard you have to ask yourself is there is a potential for a connection and/or is it worth the effort.

this is one of the toughest parts of the game but it is one of the most fun. Come up with a few questions that you will ask anytime the convo gets dull. it's okay to be random, you don't have to follow the subject at hand. if it is dying out it was probably a boring subject anyways. a lot of times i'll ask questions that i really want to know, almost like qualifiers, but make sure they are open ended questions....some quick examples i use:

-What do you think about country music?
-What is your favorite kind of wine?
-If you had any wish, what would it be?
-You seem like you are the oldest/youngest syblling...

and the trick is...have a funny story or a good response
-I always have an instant bond with girls that like country (im from new england so it's a little more rare than when i lived a little further south)
-I love wine so i can talk about that
-i always say my wish would be that i knew every word to every song in the whole world...even songs in other languages
it's fun to just make assumptions and get a response...rather than asking a yes or no question

these are just some quick ideas, but think of some good things to say, have clever responses and laugh a lot...that's what i like to do

This is a great time for a quick IOI. If she starts up the conversation again with "So...", you've got an IOI and the conversation is back up. Just make sure to maintain eye contact.

but also think about that you don´t say something/ask something which she could answer with yes or no, this is deadly :D
ask her something on which she have to tell a little bit, then you just need to wait to a good word on which one you can start the talk again.
Or in the silence, just start to tell her an story, if it´s true or not, that doesn´t care, if it´s true you can tell a lot (also if yo know that the story is boring, tells it like it´s ver exciting^^ ) and if you inventet this story say something very funny and unrealist at least, then she will ask: this isn´t happen right? and you just answer: right (by smiling), she will laughs and you just need to continue with "your programm"
