Post subject:  How to be introvert and not seem boring/sleepy

I think the Subject-title says it all.
I'm an introvert guy - I occasinly get the question "are you tired?" - mostly from my friends.
I'm not a tired person, but because I'm an introvert guy per natural, I don't talk all the time.
I'ved changed it to the positive when picking up girls by esculating sexual energy from keeping eye-contact, have a confident body language and answer mysterious on their questions.
Still I occasinly get the question "are you tired?", when I'm at work, hanging with a group of friends etc. (places where there isn't any picking up girls involved).
When I tell a joke in these social fields people seem to laugh at it, but more in a way that they don't know what else to do.
In these social fields people have a tendense to only bring up serious subjects when talking to me.
I don't like the way that I function in these groups, and I would like to change it.
I just don't know how.
Any advices?

I used to have a similar issue. The key here may be your body language. I remember a girl once telling me that she could never tell when I was joking. I thought about it, and I realized that my voice inflection and facial expression almost never changed. This makes it difficult for people to really understand the intent behind your words. It's kind of like texting but never using smilies.

The harder you work at becoming comfortable with who you are the more natural your body language will become. I'd suggest cutting out some of the mystery and being more upfront when socializing in groups. The more communication you do in the group the more you'll stand out.

It is tricky, you have to be very good at engaging those you do decide to talk to. It's super important to open up about your passions....so you better have some passions.
