| Post subject: | Body rocking |
I'm reading Mysterys book Venusian Arts, and I'm at the part where it's talking about body rocking but I can't figure it out. I tried searching youtube for videos on this, no luck. I've also searched the forums and couldn't find anything. Could someone explain body rocking? |

think it means that you're anxious to leave in a situation |

It's not that. In the book it says to stand with your feet shoulder length apart, then start swirling like a figure eight, etc. |

i think it's for the time before the hook point, basically, it's like when you open 'over the shoulder' as if you're only quickly asking a question to a group next to you. You maintain this notion when you talk to them until they have shown interest in you, by rocking back on your heels as if you were about to turn around to leave, and then rocking back to a normal stance, etc, i hope that made sense to you |

I don't think I explained myself well enough. I'm not asking what it is, i'm asking how do you do it? |

Position yourself so your not directly facing the target, pretend as though someones waiting for you somewhere else and your about to walk away |

Body rocking is a non-verbal false time constraint that a PUA can use to convey that he is not too needy and that he may leave the set at any time. An example of body rocking would be to slightly turn away from a set, as if you were just about to leave, to create a feeling of loss in the target, before returning to the interaction. Body rocking should be done smoothly and unconsciously as a bait to reach a hook point in a set, or make the girl give an IOI and chase after the PUA. ------ Another definition (not the one we are talking about): Body rocking is also sometimes used to refer to the unconscious fidgeting that nervous guys will exhibit in set, where they shift their weight back and forth from foot to foot. Such rocking is very poor body language, and should be avoided as much as possible. In general, it is best to keep any unnecessary movements to a minimum, to appear confident and relaxed. from: http://www.pualingo.com/pua-definitions/body-rocking/ |

Stand far enough away that you have to lean towards her to talk. Make sure you are doing this over the shoulder, in a nice relaxed stance (this is probably where the legs shoulder width apart comes from). You could be at the bar trying to order a drink or looking round the room as if you are going to walk away (if she asks tell her your looking for a friend). When you want to talk to her you simply look over your shoulder at her and lean in and talk, then you lean back out (this is the rocking). She should lean back in to you as well when she needs to talk or you can stay leant in while she responds and once your at the hook point you can turn yourself in properly and maybe run a routine. It's good! Good luck! |
