peacocking is basicly showing off... and to show off you mainly need to prove you have cash... as for an outfit, costly & popularity are the main things to look for... try the affliction line... i've worn affliction for a while, not to be peacocking simply because thats my style... and for some reason i have much, much better success in clubs while wearing affliction... i'll never forget my first affliction shirt/jacket combo... i # closed and kiss closed atleast 3 or 4 HB's that night.. |

In the world of style just take what everyone else is doing and add your own flare... as in throw on some kicks that other people wouldn't wear with that outfit, i always wear an undershirt no matter what shirt I'm wearing, you can see it around my collar i wear lots of different colors girls aways notice... shoes n shirts If you really wanna stand out tho the birthday suit is always the way to go. |

Hey, peacocking is not about showing off and definately not about showing your financial situation. Peacock theory comes from Mystery and is based on the peacock which has a very big and annoying tail. Biologists believe that the peacock with the largest tail show survival value because if it is strong enough to survive despite having such a large tail, it must be very strong indeed. Translated to human, you wear something to stand out, thats the point. Any man who stands out on purpose will be approached and judged by every other guy in the room, to willingly take that is to show higher value. A man who can face humiliation and still be confident is somebody special. Also, to peacock is to be the center of attention, an alpha male characteristic. Just think of DJs, bartenders, performers etc etc. All of them are successful with women and because they flip one switch, the center of attention/leader of men switch! So, peacocking is not about looking good and give girls something to talk about, it is to attract attention. Phoenix |

Not true my man. I like affliction and all, but I can still walk out of the thrift store looking like a rock star. Honestly, you can pull off almost anything if you've got the attitude. My first "peacock" outfit involved a pink vertical stiped button up, green slacks, and various other accessories. I choose to customize my clothes and I always get good remarks on them. My best advice is to have fun with your selection of clothes and don't get bogged down in mainstream fashion.

but, here in my area, affliction is rare... you'll see people wearing ae or hollister anyday before rockin' out in some affliction... kind of like fedora's not very popular around here... so im about to buy a few lol... as far as peacocking goes, when attracting a mate... the male peacocks have a tail display, to DRAW in the females... so they "show off" their tails? am i not right??? lol so wear a flashy outfit, that isn't seen often, and you've got peacocking at its finest... as far as the thrift store goes, have at it... its not about the presentation of themselves, its all about how you sell the product... so if you can pull it off, do so.. make it stick out... hell i wear atatoka bay sometimes when i hit the clubs, whatever the hell that is... lol |

Well, they do show off their tail but the biologists debate why this works... Is it because the females think it looks nice... No, everything in nature has a reason. Everything displayed show survival or reproductive value. Like frogs... The louder they sing the stronger they are etc etc... Peacocking is to stand out and show value. |

changed your tune a bit from the first post didn't ya lol but i'd honestly have to say that, clothing & money walk hand in hand, if it looks like it cost a lot, the ladies will flock to it, and if it sticks out, they'll honor the fact that you have the nizzles stick out... women love three things more than anything, and all guys know its true... SHOES, CLOTHES, MONEY... with some women i think sex falls into that top 3 category but they'll never admit it... lol |

He he, I see your point man... I just do not think standing out and showing off is the same thing... Same with showing value and money... |
