| Post subject: | Backfiring Cold Reads???... |
So I've always done cold reading, just not as often as now when I am conscious of my game. However, lately I am feeling that they have been backfiring. I will go through all the steps and get an amazing cold-read (I used to be a psych major before what I am now). Lately, I've been getting girls saying things along the lines of, "Okay, so you think you know so much about me..." Then I proceed to read them even deeper, to which they get a little creeped out a tiny bit. They give me a smile, but also that look like, "How did you know that?" I have had girls been telling me, that it is "freakish" how I am able to read them so well upon first meeting them (I have no prior knowledge). Also, I have been getting a bit of resistance because girls ask how many girls I have used this on, and I am being called a "player" when doing the cold reads. Any advice/light on this situation??? How else can this be handled? (I know it is not a shit-test because they have already shown plenty of genuine interest) Have any of you experienced this, or anything similar for that matter? |

I think the key to doing cold reads, is to mix it up. Perhaps throw in a bit of facetious humour so it isn't so intense. We all know girls are fascinated by 'Chick-Crack,' but maybe you're concentrating too much on this. She isn't there for a reading, you've got to flirt with her, build a rapport and kino as well. Maybe, to make her feel at ease, so she doesn't feel so freaked out - you could drop in an obvious clanger when you're cold reading. Something that is so wrong, she's just gonna laugh at what you said. That way, she's thinking, "he's good - but not freaky, and funny too." |

Sounds like you are coming across too practiced and it is obvious to them that it is a routine, when it should really feel like something that you just naturally wanted to do with them for some reason. Then you need to make sure to keep it light and fun and not too intense, otherwise it gets a bit creepy. It's just calibration that you need to work on. |
