Post subject:  Outrageous remarks

Hey guys, I want your feedback on the topic of shooting outrageous remarks when in a set... I recently used such a remark to break the ice in a larger set (10 - 12 people) at a Starbucks cafe where three chicks were having their own involved conversation and showed no interest in my conversational threads... A friend of mine was complaining about not having time to work on his website and I said out loud "I had the same problem, but then I cut down my hours of masturbating over internet porn from 4 to 2 hours a day"... Silence... Then the girls burst out laughing and completely forgot the boring shit that they were talking about... Ended up going out clubbing with two of them that night...

Other variations include saying that "I don't have a girlfriend because I masturbate a lot", or "You should wear high heels, I have a fetish for that and I like to suck on your high heels" or "I caught my Prince Albert in an industrial magnet at work" or anything that's sexual and blown out of proportion... Have you tried that and what's the outcome? I am getting about 80% positive responses with the 20% being dry, no-sense-of-humor-whatsoever kind of girls...

Let me have your opinions about how and why it works...

haha made me laugh i think its pretty cool

but yeah the odd times there are those girls with no sense of humour  nothing you can do

unless you try a neg. If other people laughed but not her then something like "does she ever laugh" or something similar to to those lines.

What im interested is whats your follow up to it?

and how did you say it? like the manner/tone of it.

I was thinking if i said something about my masturbation i would pause for 2 secs..

get the tension building and say "shit...said that a bit too loud didnt i" and laugh a little and have a big smile implying "i dont care what i just said" 8)

I try not to "milk" the remark, otherwise you get labeled as a "one trick pony" and have problems moving past that and into some other topics... I make the remark as casually as possible and change threads quickly as if what I said is a legit conversation topic that I just happened to mention... The whole thing is just surreal...
