It's time for me to give something back for all the great advices I have gathered in this forum. So here comes a Neg that has worked really well for me: "Ohhh, It's soo cute, your eyes look exactly like SpongeBob's" Lots of them cover their eyes while laughing, turning away for a couple of second but keeps on laughing. Some say stuff like "oh i love spongebob!", some runs to their friends telling them what I just said. Never got a bad response on that one

really? your eyes look...like spongebobs'. I don't see what's so great about it, a little weak if you ask me. Girls typically wear eye shadow/eyeliner + mascara and don't look like giant ping-pong balls. If you're going to neg, at least have it make sense. You wouldn't say "nice hair" to someone who's bald, would you? on second thought, that would be a better neg. |

nice hair to someone who is bald would be an insult, not a neg. It does make sense, well enough sense anyway, the girl is not really going to start analyzing the comment in depth, it is meant as a joke, coming from a dominant frame. |

I think the reason why the spongebob neg actually works, is because it makes the woman feel curious about what you really think about her eyes. Spongebob is a funny character, thus you are subcommunicating that she has funny eyes. She will start to wonder if you think her eyes are nice or not... And that is the whole purpose of a neg, is it not? To disqualify yourself to her by creating an uncertainty in her head about what you think of her.
