the old cute puppy routine revamped, I like it

So every time i walk the dog! the hbs say "oh how cute" I say thank you, me or the dog i am confused? they get a chuckle and start blushing! then they say the dog! i say really cause i thought you were referring to me, hb both of you actually, and then go from there, so i become a ventriloquist dog talking with a baby voice or a pitch voice, dog ventriloquist: "hi neighbor i like you or whatever" Works every time and my dog is a pitbull.. which is scary looking!

Here's a variation that I've had some luck with:

HB: "How cute!"
Me: "Yeah the dog isn't bad either"

When said properly, with a playful grin, should get you a good laugh every time.

Perfect that it's a pitbull! I've found that a great way of showing that you're alpha is being obviously alpha with animals. "Manly" dogs are great if you've trained them well and can control them.

I have a boxer/pitbull mix, and when I first got him, and he'd jump around and not listen to me, girls would like him, but not stay and talk/play. Once I got him better trained, girls started to love him, especially seeing me play a little aggressively with him, showing that he is a tough guy underneath the training.
