As we all know, dinner dates are a pretty AFC move, they can be long, awkward and it looks like your trying to impress her with your money or whatever. Which sets the wrong frame. Cooking dinner together means shes at your house already, you can pick up the ingreditents together so there are multiple comfort building locations, no awkward bill paying : you can get the food, she might offer/ you tell her to get the drinks, at worst you can pay for the food and make sure you set the frame that you will use all these ingredients again and again so your not buying it to be a kiss ass.
