I have a significant other but fuck around on the side, this means that I can never take a girl back to my place. I'm a grad student, and my usual excuse is that I have a messy, embarrassing, antisocial roommate. I hate it when I have to pull this because it sounds DLV (if you have a DHV excuse let me know). So I like to find girls online who live about 40 miles away, and set up a date that is closer to their place than mine to make it easier to suggest going to their place. So went on a bowling date with a HB9 who really seems to have no idea she's hot. She loves bowling but we mostly talked for 5 hours (we bowled 3 games in that time). She laughed at my jokes, and I made fun of her for being too skinny a lot. Started making out off and on about 2 hours in. She kept playfully accusing me of feeding her lines, they were completely spontaneous pulls. 4 hours in I suggested we go play this game we both like at her place, she seemed somewhat surprised and I said the only canned thing I said all night which was, "Don't worry, I don't put out on the first date. I'm easy but not that easy." She laughed and quickly said, "Oh neither do I." Well she said she would (edit: no she didn't promise to put out, but have me over to play a game, haha) but is tired, definitely next time. Then she said she lives with her parents to save money but that she has a big room and privacy, and can have friends over (prompted info)... An hour later after walking her to her car and making out some more I said, "Maybe I'll see you again sometime." She said, "Make it soon, we should go see those Christmas lights I mentioned" and then she said to text her when I get home so she knows I got there safely. I told her that was sweet of her and we said bye. Resisting attachment is already hard with this one, from my perspective we clicked. I get home at midnight and the text I sent her reads: "I made it! Yes! Sleep well sweet girl Don't dream about me too much (I'm better than my dream self, and he lies)." Was trying to be cocky funny and sexual, but not sure if it's over the top and weird. She didn't sign in to the dating site so it's completely plausible she was passed out when I sent that but in any case she didn't reply that night. I'm thinking about trying to do the whole 2nd date, including a possible f close, from my nice truck. Christmas lights per her suggestion, +/- outdoor movie theater, +/- secluded location (I think I'm going to bring a map of Christmas light locations with me, and just escalate when the spot seems secluded enough). Maybe come up with a few places we could stop and backup plans. The issue with the truck is there's quite a divider between the two front seats, though the bed is clean and blankets could be brought, that transition might be awkward though. Part of me wonders about the wisdom of suggesting we go back to "her place" if the 2nd date happens, guess it depends on how the car escalation goes. When she said "make it soon" I'm interpreting that as her saying not to play games by waiting to call. So not sure if it would be okay to call her sooner than the usual 2 day minimum and literally set up the date for within a few days or if that would be too needy even in this context. |
