I learnt this one from Huckleberry Finn, which has helped me a few times when I forget the girls name. My memory is pretty bad, and for remembering names it's quite awful. So if I'm number closing a girl and have forgotten her name, rather than saying 'ugh, sorry what's your name again?', I just ask her how she spells her name as I'm typing it into my phone :) Kills two birds with one stone :wink:

i frequently forget names too.

i deal with it by introducing her to my wing or friend. Then she tells him her name.

What I recently tried was txting a friend of mine the name this way you have it in your outbox and dont seem like a retard, say you forgot that you had to text your friend if she asks.

Normally Im good with names, but last weekend was a b*tch for some reason. Couldnt remember the girls names AT ALL.

lol, yea, I used to use this trick a lot until I asked how to spell a girl's name and all she said was, "with an I..." So, now I have a girl simply named "I" in my phone and I've since learned to really focus on remembering people's names.

I've definitely done that before.

Another way to deal with it, as far as the cell phone goes, is to just have her enter her own name/number.

haha doesnt work if her name is kim or somthing simple, but i do this all the time intro to othr ppl to get her name. its common

You could just say something like "I've met so many girls that spell their name in unusual ways. You'd be surprised how pissed they get when you get it wrong!"

and if she still doesn't happen to say it, like, she just says "Well, mine is just the regular way" or something, just type in random characters to your phone and, I dunno, steal her drivers license :twisted: :twisted: ...maybe not

I use the how do you spell your name trick. The worst is when the girl's name is really easy to spell like "Kim" thats "k" "i" "m".

I had this same problem and lost a lot of deals because of it.

Solve your problem before you have it. Dont forget her name, some women are hip to all of these tactics minus the texting one (which I like).

2 ways I tell my bros to commit a name to memory;

1. Use name association - associate her name with somone or something you can remember. Example... you know a jane doe and the woman you met is named Jane smith, think of jane doe when you look at jane smith.

You can also associate it with a physical trait you notice about her(I do this in a crowd often). example... ohh thats jen with the nice ass or kim with the good hair; I like to pick the dominant attraction point.

2. Repitition - say her name back to her several times in your conversations and repeat it over and over in your own head.

I have been using this one for AGES it works almost every time also another one that works is what is your FULL name if they ask why you want to know just say i know lots of people and i enter their full names in my phone so I remember who they are BUT I prefer asking her how to spell it

Hey, would it be a good neg to purposely forget her name early on, and maybe even say something like you know another girl with her name...?
