Post subject:  Texting Game! Help
Okay I don't know if this is the right spot but I felt like it was, so if its not cut me slack. Anyways I met this girl at a small local bar I go to, she works there and the other night I get her number. She is extremly down to earth, and has her life together. She is a senior and college, and also in the military. Anyways, long story short I got her number and asked her if I could take her out. She agreed, and so we have been texting off and on. Anyways, I feel like sometimes she is into it and sometimes she isn't. Like it has only been a few days, but I feel like I have to strike the conversations. Now I know she is busy with school and what not, but I would love some tips. Should I text her everyday or just give it a few days? I don't want to be too distant but at the same time I don't want to be too pushy. Any advice will help, thanks a lot. 8)

some advices:

never reply immediately always wait 10 minutes or so.

even if you are not occupied, act as if you were

always end the conversations first (call, chats etc - gotta go do something, c u later, etc)

don't try too hard and do not be too nice

needless to say, do not show too much interest in the beginning


and most of all.. do not act needy.

if you ask something and she does not reply leave it as it is, because most of the times its actually a shit test to see if you "crawl" or panic

Just brainstorming here. But what if you text her some questions about her military service? Serious questions. Maybe tell her that you or a friend were thinking about joining. This will snap her into a serious frame of mind and she'll be sure to give you thorough answers and engage you in text conversation. Then you could be like "Wow, that's really helpful. You seem very interesting and intelligent. Let's get together for a drink sometime so I can keep picking your brain."

It looks like you're texting way too much. To the guy who said to always wait 10 minutes or so to answer, you have to be careful and adapt to the situation. If the girl is answering within 1 minute why would you wait 10 minutes?? It totaly kills the mood. This rule is ment for when the girl takes time to answer. Let's say she takes 5 minutes, you can take 5,7 or event 15 minutes to answer. The idea is to look busy and not needy. Furthermore, you're better to vary the time you take but usually take juste a little more time than she takes.

And don't show too much interest in the beginning...hmmm not 100% sure. At first you want to her to be in a good mood so I think that it's better to text something funny/cocky (there are a lot of good openers!) but then you want to keep the conversations short. Why do you text? Because you want to meet with her right? So, I don't see why you would engage in face to face type of conversation over text. Find a way to set up a meeting and please avoid becomming her text buddy
