That's why I recommend staying in the set longer and going for a k-close first, or possibly an insta-date. Preferably you want her to be the one to suggest that you exchange numbers. And if you have to get her number, simply tell her to tell you it. Don't ask her if you can have it. |

I'm a nice guy and had a lot of troubles asking for the number I used to do it in the wrong way even with girls that I used to know for a long time, and there is a very easy fix for it. I used to say things like: "Can I have your phone number?" "Would you give me your phone number?" Scenarios for these questions: Me:"Can I have your phone number?" she: "No" Me: *gets heartbroken and wants to hide behind a tree. So I changed it to: "Do you have a phone number?" "What is your phone number?" Scenarios: Me: do you have a phone number? she: yes, Me: what is it? Me: do you have a phone number? she: yes, why? me: ohh I just want to cheer you up every night by texting you the cheesiest sms ever! Me: do you have a phone number? She: no! Me: ohh then how am I suppose to cheer you up every night by texting you the cheesiest smses ever? she: haha, you are silly! me: I know, god made me sexy not smart!! Talking seriously I find you quite attractive and I would like to talk to you some other time, so what is your phone number? I've never been rejected after that, the worst that can happen is that the girl also talks seriously to me and say something like: "hey you are funny and a very nice guy and if I wasn't in a happy relationship now, I would like to go out with you some time. " |

Too many question marks bro. What do you do when someone asks you a question? You think to yourself, "What answer should I give?" What do you do when someone tells you to do something? You do it. |

You got a point here, I wrote what works for me according to my personality. And I would agree that if someone tells me what to do, most probably because I do not like confrontations I'll just do it... but in the future I'll try to avoid any contact with this person as much as possible... Of course that is just me, it can be that there are many human beings around who like to be around people who tells them what to do.
What do you do when someone tells you to do something? You do it. |

It's not about being authoritative. It's more of a nuance in the way you go about obtaining your desired result. I'm not being bossy or demanding when I say "Let me get your number." in a very friendly voice. Also, the words "let me" implies that I want your permission, even though I'm not directly asking for it. It's more submissive than a command like "GIVE ME YOUR NUMBER!" |
