Whatever you do, do not apologize for your friends.
If you tell a lie long enough, loud enough, and often enough, people will believe it.
So tell her your friends are awesome and focus on their positives, they must have some they are your friends aren't they?
Always be positive about your friends, if she thinks your friends are losers she'll definitely start wondering if you are a loser too. Because a winner does not surround himself with losers.
Or are the others not really your friends? If so make that clear. Both for me and for her.
