Can anyone recommend a response to "Sorry, I have a boyfriend" in response to a number request?

Try creating a counter by combining some of those elements, something that works for you.

Haven't field tested this one, i think it is funny though.
Me: can i have your number
HB: sorry i have a boyfriend
Me:Im sorry i guess you didn't understand my question, i was asking if i could get your number, i wasn't asking if you wanted to be my girlfriend, jesus how easy do you think i am?

Ofc say it with a smille and all that :)

"only one? what a rookie..."
"I can relate, I have 3 kids"
"Is he rich?"
"Good, we can double date"
etc.

I don't know guys... When a girl mentions a boyfriend, she usually does so for a reason. Irrespective of whether or not she actually has one, she says that to deflect some unwelcome advances. When a girl says to me she has a boyfriend, I take it as a huge IOD and a sign that there was something fundamentally wrong with my game.

At this point I would like to make it clear that it depends hugely on the context. There are many situations where mentioning the BF doesn't mean anything. I'm talking about the "Can I have your number?" - "Uh, I have a boyfriend" situation.

Does anyone of you have some actual hands-on experience of taking a girl's number after having her say that she has a BF and succesfully closing her later? Because I don't. I might play it down, tease her for thinking that I wanted to be her BF, but at the end of the day I eject and find some more responsive target.

And now I can imagine your responses to my post: "a real PUA can deal with that using this or this technique...". But still - let's face it - if she says she has a boyfriend, she doesn't want you to hit on her anymore. Sure, you can sometimes overcome this, but it is a big setback. And it is a thousand times easier to move on to another target.
