Post subject:  So somebody else opened for me, guess who.

So I went shopping with my mom and there was a blazing girl on the cash, I had seen the girl before passing by a department, locked eyes with her, and then whispered to my mom "Gee, that girl is pretty beautiful".

We landed ourselves in a different department only to meet that girl again, who also asked me a question on a product I was holding in my hands. She also looked mad when addressing me, no clue why.

Later, whence my mom was checking-out, she asked the girl if she had a boyfriend, the girl said no, and my mom said: "how do you like my son?". The girl then replied "He's cute".
My mom said: "He's in university" the girl said: "Me too, what's he majoring in?"
My mom told her this and that, the girl explained she is in a similar field and said "same thing".

At this point, I had left for the adjacent department as the embarrassment hit an all time high while also letting out an "OMG" that made the girl laugh.

Subsequently, I overheard some of the convo, and returned to say something belonging to the field, but was glanced at by both of them. :/
I then left again, and my mom gave her the house number and my cell number, but forgot to give her my name. The girl wrote all of it down lol.

My mom also told her that she liked her and that was why she gave her the numbers.
She then said: "Have a nice night guys", I replied "you too" while turning my back on her and carting away.

She was taking the same things as me in University, and I let the situation implode right before my eyes.

Oh well, this was last Tuesday evening, the girl hasn't called or texted, I can't imagine why. [/sarcasm]

What do you guys make of this situation? Should I go back and talk to her? Is the situation salvageable? What should I expect if I go back there.

Please help me out!

Thanks! :)

Why would you ask if it's salvageable when it hadnt even been ruined?

Only thing is,the girl might've just been being polite evenhugh she's not into you.

No girl wants to tell a guy's mom that her son is unattractive.

Give it a shot and see what happens.

But... She hasn't called yet... Would she call if she were interested?
I kind of acted cold after the situation, when she said goodbye I turned my back on her... :s

i voted for "Play it off like nothing happened" but don't play it off. Use it as a conversation topic like, "My mom has never done that before." or "I appologize if my mom creeped you out a bit, she does this alot, ive gotten used to it so im not that embarrassed" etc. Your mom is AWSOME btw =P

Sofakingdope's approach is awesome.

Great suggestion.

As for why she didnt call yet.

Well she's a girl.Girls dont call guys first;too much anxiety.

She will never call,no matter how much she's interested.

You could be Brad Pitt. She wont call.

It's the guy's job to make that initial move.
