Post subject:  Loud Clubs and How to Avoid "Pecking"

If I am at a loud club or bar, how do I avoid "pecking" (leaning into the girl) when speaking to her? I have tried speaking louder while standing up straight but my voice is naturally deep so girls cannot hear me well when the music is up, and thus I find them losing interest in trying to understand after about 3 min.

I was wondering if I should just avoid such venues altogether or just get a speech coach.

Any thoughts?!

yeah... this is what i did to over come it.. i was terrible with pecking. just... DONT DO it.. Its a habit. break it. Lean back in the set... Make them lean into you if your voice is deeper. The fact that you are aware that you do it is all you need... just pull your head back.

i am an afc, but, i used to peck, and now i dont. it went away on its own as my social skills and flirting skills improved. i still dont talk to women in bars much, but instead of pecking, i think i naturally just take a step to a woman so my shoulder is toward her face so that she will say that in my ear. i peck, just not with my torso, but just by moving my entire body so that she is looking straight into my ear? i dunno if that helps at all. i might be giving bad advice over here too.

I still do it at times and all i hear in my head is "over-eager!"

What i'm trying to apply is when a girl is talking to you, make a gesture towards your ear implying that you cannot hear here and beckon her over to talk into your ear. Quite simple really. This way she looks like she is trying to pick you up.
