| Post subject: | A word on TRUE CONFIDENCE |
Hey fellas, I've been in the game for about two years now, with pretty decent success. I was reading another post here somewhere which inspired me to comment on inner game/self-confidence. A lot of times you hear "just be confident" or "confidence is key". Problem is, noone tells you exactly how to go from where you are to where you need to be. So here is me sharing my view in an attemt to put things in perspective for those of you who may need it. My self-confidence comes from me essentially making myself the god of my subjective world. In other words, everything I do has my own best interests in mind. I live MY life for ME and noone else. I accept the praise for my successes and the responsibility for my failures. These realizations gave me the great freedom to make the necessary recalibrations in my life, PU notwithstanding. This attitude is at the core of the animal sex appeal that we all posess as males, which is exactly what females sense and are attracted to in our interactions with them. I know it sounds funny, but from my standpoint, I can do no wrong. If I make a mistake, or blow it with some chick, I simply analyze, interpret, learn my lesson, and move on. This way I have no regrets and I come out that much wiser because I didn't waste time wishing I could go back and change something. This concept allowed me to gradually become more confident in my decisions. If you are curious to find out more about this attitude, I suggest you research a Mr. Anton Szander LaVey and his philosophy (remember to keep and open mind). I stumblet upon his views when I was 17 (I'm 22 now), and my life has never been the same Feel free to comment |

So true dude. I used to be the guy who cared what everyone thought about him. After realizing that I should control my life and live it the way I want, I became more confident. Also true you tend to have no regrets and I view any failures as a result of me not planning things properly and therefore don't blame it on anyone else. Some may view it as a selfish way to live but I like to view life as an athletic track in a maze-like structure. the path you choose will determine your success and the only person in control is you. Once you rely on ther people their choices mahy begin to hold you back as people speed past. |

Yeah , hmmmmm......The following is true though, but it's not from that Anton Lavey guy: "In other words, everything I do has my own best interests in mind. I live MY life for ME and noone else. I accept the praise for my successes and the responsibility for my failures. These realizations gave me the great freedom to make the necessary recalibrations in my life, PU notwithstanding. Instead spend your time working on your future. |

I have had the same thoughts as the original poster. A lot of the material and advice on this forum is just "Do this, do that, be like this and it will all work out" But with very little advice on how to get there. I have had great success by using this method: In my own small steps I will pretend I am confident about something and act it out as if I had no fear about doing it. Surprisingly it has worked out really well, and all of a sudden I would no longer fear doing whatever it was that I did not have confidence to do before. I would usually not even notice it as the line between pretending and actually being confident is very dim. Confidence is all in your head, so why not just re-program it to fit your other needs and wishes?! Working on limiting beliefs is another way to get confidence, as it will remove your reasons for being without confidence. |

Honestly confidence comes from a mindset. Look in the mirror and tell yourself, you're a ten. Also you have nothing to lose. AA (IMO) comes from thinking a negative result will come from approaching a girl. |

Haha yeah, he founded the Church of Satan back in the day. If you know anything at all about it, you know that it's not like a devil worship thing at all, but rather a study of human nature, the way we humans work, and a life philosophy that, like PU, is applicable to ALL of one's life. And when it comes to seduction, LaVeyan Satanism an the PU community are practically twins. Besides, let's not pretend that if you dabble in PU you're scoring any points with God. I mean, psychological manimpulation, social engineering, prideful ornamentation of one's body (your avatar), premarital fornication, etc., are all things guys like us do, and are all pretty 'sinful' if I remember bible school correctly. |
